About Dr. Jiwu Chen

Biography

Dr. Jiwu Chen serves as the Vice Director of the Orthopaedic Clinical Center and Director of Sports Medicine at Shanghai General Hospital. With over 30 years of clinical experience, he has become a renowned surgeon in Chinese sports medicine, integrating international advanced arthroscopic techniques with individualized functional recovery goals.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Shanghai General Hospital in 2021, Dr. Chen spent nearly 20 years at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University. He has completed numerous international fellowships at prestigious institutions like the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard), and Cleveland Clinic, bringing global best practices to his patients in China.
